Key milestone in DHV Technology’s roadmap and its collaboration with UARX Space since 2021.
Málaga, September 25th, 2025 – DHV Technology, a Spanish company located in Málaga that provides Power Subsystems for space applications, announces the delivery of the complete flight model of the electrical power subsystem of the OSSIE Orbital Transfer Vehicle, from the Spanish company UARX Space, European reference in space transportation, offering shared and dedicated launch solutions for PocketQubes, CubeSats, and small satellites. This milestone is an outstanding achievement on DHV product’s roadmap and technical strategy, consolidating the technological collaboration that DHV Technology and UARX Space have executed since 2021.
DHV Technology has just completed and delivered the Ossie power system at UARX’s facilities in Nigrán (Pontevedra), Spain. OSSIE, the first Orbital Transfer and hosted payload Vehicle designed in Spain, and one of only six in the world, developed to validate products in space, with a complete electrical power subsystem designed and manufactured by DHV Technology. The system includes different solar panels, PCDU (Power Control Distribution Unit), EPS (Electrical Power System), and the main battery modules of the Orbital Transfer Vehicle (OTV). These components are integrated to generate the required and reliable power that OSSIE needs to operate throughout its whole mission.
During the design, manufacturing, and qualification process, DHV adapted its products to OSSIE’s specific needs and provided the required technology to optimize performance in space. This power provided by DHV will allow the OSSIE OTV to transport Pocketqubes, CubeSats, and SmallSats to specific orbits and host payloads, expanding access to space for multiple customers.
“This partnership combining both engineering teams, resources, and 100% Spanish technology, highlights our shared commitment to advance in the development of our products, improving the space missions of our current and future customers,” says Vicente Díaz, DHV Technology Co-Founder and Managing Director.
“The collaboration with DHV Technology is a commitment to the highest level of Spanish technology and demonstrates that there is significant potential in Spain to make the sector strong and internationally competitive,” says Yanina Hallak, CEO and co-founder of UARX Space.
